Great Irish Fair of New Ulm 2016
The Great Irish Fair of New Ulm encourages friendship, loyalty and kinship among those people of New Ulm and the surrounding area who are interested in Irish culture, traditions and history. The event will feature the Goosetown Irish Market, an artisan and vendor market that operates as a fundraiser for the not-for-profit organization, the Goosetown Roller Girls. Come out and support our local flat track roller derby lassies! Anita Prestidge of Crossroads Ceili Dancing will be offering a free Irish Step Dancing class in the morning. This class is open to ages 7 to 70 and no previous dance experience is required. Professional storyteller, Carol McCormick will tell enthrall listeners with her tales during our annual Tea and Luncheon held at noon. The Green Mill will have Irish foods and refreshments available.
Luck O’ the Irish & Fun Galore
Come join us for the party and a wee bit ‘o fun! All events at the Great Irish Fair of New Ulm are free and open to the public. Irish food and refreshments are provided by the Green Mill and can be ordered a la carte. A Dublin Irish Stew will be the main course at the Tales from the Emerald Isle storytelling event. The performance activities are partially funded by the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council with an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the State’s general fund. Additional funding was received from Ground Zero Services and the Gislason & Hunter Law Firm.
