Gathering of the Clans Banquet

The Gathering of the Clans Banquet celebrates and reinforces the sense of identity for the Irish community in the German town of New Ulm and the surrounding area. Stories of Irish culture, history and genealogy are shared during the banquet.

The German male chorus group, the Concord Singers of New Ulm, will rename themselves the “O’Concord Singers” for their performance and will sing traditional Irish music which will include Danny Boy, Finnegan’s Wake, Rocky Road to Dublin and The Wild Rover.  A shamrock or leprechaun art project is available for children who would like to participate.

The Clan Banquet will take place after the parade on Friday, March 17th in the Wilhelmina Room at the Don’s Pub (aka Veigel’s Kaiserhoff) in New Ulm.

“May those who love us love us.
And those that don’t love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn’t turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles,
So we’ll know them by their limping.”
